Son of Righteousness

Sunny day

The desert sun staring furiously on the barren ground

An entourage of holy men make way to Damascus for righteous slaughter

Saul, the captain of the band looks at the blazing sun

"We should be at Damascus by sunset" he says

A lot running through his mind

These Jesus people have pushed it to far

Proclaiming heresy

The resurrection of a dead man!

That not enough

That he is God?

"This men are certainly blind" he thinks aloud

Blinded by the devil

Misguided by satan

"I can see!! " Paul exclaims

Ananias smiles at the childish attitude of Paul

The once feared persecutor

Now a humble visitor

A lot must have happened on Damascus road

Even his name has changed

"A bright light, brighter than the sun

Heaven surely must have opened"

Said Paul to the listening ear of Ananias

"He said I was persecuting Him

Oh! I have been blind all this while" Paul lamented

Until that light from heaven

Revelation from Mercy seat

The blinding light of Christ

Continually shines on our hearts

Our blind eyes will continue to see blindly

Paul had been blind

Far before Damascus encounter

The Light only revealed his real state

No wonder his decisions killed instead of saving

The vision of blind men looking at a situation is always darkness

Until we encounter this light

This saving light

That true light that lights up every man

The Son of Righeousness

The Sun of Righteousness

What is actually an error will look right to us

What is wrong will please our hearts

Great is the darkness when the eyes are blind

You are never to experienced to experience the light over and over

Paul never fully recovered from that light

His brightness continually reflected on Paul

So why don't we look up with faith laden hearts

Hoping the light intervenes

If we be on any Damascus journey.

Selah.

The Sentinel

Cold dark night
Not a ray of light
Stillness
Not a whisper
Winds of fear and uncertaintity
Cause goosebumps and chills
Locked doors
Sealed halls
The city of lights
Now respiring in night
Indeed dark times
But on the high walls
Standing tall
Is a man
A horn in hand
Watching and waiting
For the enemy must not prevail
Alert on evil entry
So he watches the city door
The watchman stands on the higher place
The grounds of authority
The vintage point
The gap
Praying for security and salvation
Praying for security of salvation

Now it is day
Bright and sunny
Air smells like honey
The city comes alive
Breathing hard after the tempting night
The sun is up
So men can work
but someone is still doin night chores
The sentinel is still on the walls watching
Seems he is not even aware of time
Season nor weeks
But that is his calling

"Except the Lord keep a city, the watchman waketh in vain......."
There is a need of a watchman if only the Lord keeps the city
So the watchman don't protect
God does
But God needs the watchman
"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land....."

The watchman sounds the alarm
He sees then say
Hears and rings
Looks out for the brethren
The Lord watches the watchman
For he carries Gods word
But faithfulness is key
Or Cain's curse is reaped
If a brother blood is spilled
When he fails to ring.

Who is then the watchman?
We are all called to this service
The Lord's master plan
To keep His flock
Watch my back
I watch another
Another watches yours
Divine chain of duty
The true essence of our diverse ministries
For the edification and perfection of the saints.
