The Chronicles of Dead men

Pushing the lever of the mill
Blind samson heart is full of regrets
He had taken grace for granted
The annoited now annuled
Shame,the strong now feeble
Many will be quick to blame Deliah
But Samson knows that its all his fault
The genes of Adam
Arrogance,lust,anger
He never allowed the fruits to grow
But basked in the glory of the gifts that are not His to share
He is brought back from His thoughts with a hard pull
Dragged to the temple of dagon to be mocked
He is now a motive for thanksgiving to the pagans
Samson remembers that his hair had began to grow again
A new spirit
A new hope
There is still a chance
As the world laughs and merry at the fall of a giant
Samson leaning on the pillars of falsehood
Says a sincere prayer
Willing to be a vessel of vengance
He bows with all his might
Letting go of everything
Droping it all at the cross
Dying with the phillistines
Dying with his desires
Dying with his wants
Dying to sin
Dying to self
And it is recorded "that at his death he killed more than he had ever done in his whole life".

Hearing the message from Mordecai
Esther knew this threat was serious.
Mordecai had told her the reason she became queen might just be for the now terror
Going back to her palace
She kneels and cry before her God
Then with a leap of faith
She sends a message
Ordering a fast
Then she died
Yes she died!
The moment she said "if I perish,I perish"
She died to her will
For the salvation of her people
To the glory of God
And was it not recorded that God gave her and the Jews victory?
Only the dead can experience victory
For death preceeds victory.
Ask The Christ.

All bow before King Nebuchadenz'zar
The trumpets sound
The drums roll
All bow before the then world authority
Before the golden statue
That same golden calf
Before the dictates of Babylon
Before her wealth and ideologies
The prince of the world
The pride of one
Leading the world astray to man and material-worship
But three men said No
"O Nebuchadenz'zar,we have no need to answer you in this matter. If be it so, our God will deliver us from the burning fiery furnance but if not, we will still not worship your idol".
That was their reply when questioned by the world most powerful man
Even with the threat of hell
They still stood confident
Have you said No to the world dictations?
Have you renounced the world ideologies even with the possibility of losing all?
Even with the threat of hell on earth?
"These men are dead" Nebuchadenz'zar is presumed to have said.
Of course they are dead
Not because the fire will kill them
But because they desire death over disobedience
And what was their reward?
Christ in the flames!
God is their reward
And the kingdom of babylon knew that there was a God greater than Nebuchadenz'zar.

Death where is thy sting?
For we are all dead
What is there to die
When the life we live is no longer ours but Jesus.
Are these and more not recorded in the Lamb's book of life?

The Lord and the lamb

David!David!David!! Jesse called his last son
"Yes pa" he answered
Won't you go tend the flocks today?
"Of course pa" David answered with his lively and playful countenance, "was just taking count of the sheep".
David is a young man, brown eyes with golden hair to match. Small in stature and still in his teen years.
Not very popular amongst his peers owning to the fact that he is hardly around.
As he leaves for the day's work, he notices his brothers at the gate preparing to leave for miltary camping.
They have been threats from neighbouring Phillistine and Saul, the crowned king of Isreal has been recruiting soldiers.
He waved at them but they were busy discussing national issues.
Walking down the familiar path that leads outside bethelehem, he gathers the sheep together.
They were leaving safe grounds for uncertain wilderness.
The terrain opens up to farms and large vineyards giving some sort of country view. He watches carefully at his flocks so they don't wander into another's property.
Leaving the farms behind, he takes count again..
"142,143,144!..all complete" he says to himself with a grin. Bringing out his flute from his goatskin bag which also carries a sling and his lunch, he begins to play tunes to exalt the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Isreal. This was the daily life of David. Soon the sheep join in the tune with their bleeting, thanks to the discomfort the rugged terrain offered them. The sun already in full strenght as they approach a brook. The grasses at the bank of this stream offer a delicacy to the sheep. Sitting on a rock by the brook, David prepares to take his lunch.
Long bleats fron the sheep disturbs David's lunch signaling danger. Swiftly he brings out his sling and picks five stones from the stream bank. A brown hairy bear is charging at the sheep. Taking a stance at the very front of the first sheep, he opens fire . Missing the head by inches, he tries again and again and again and again till the last shot. Now the bear is less than 5metres away, knowning that missing this shot would spell doom, he fires again saying under his breath "am losing none!"
Crack! The middle of the forehead of the beast gives way to accommodate the stone from David's sling.
Taking another head count after gathering the sheep together, he discovers one missing. He counts again and it is still short of one. Immediately, he leaves the flock in search for this one. Like a man that lost a costly ruby even more was the manner David searched for this sheep. He has a good reason rationally losing one but no reason is befitting to satisfy his heart so he continues searching. After thirty minutes of wandering the bushes and calling out for you, he hears the soft bleat of a terrified sheep. Looking into the eyes of this lamb with love and satisfaction, he lifts him up and rests him on his shoulders.
With joy he returns to the others. Yes the same way your Father in heaven is rejoicing over you if indeed you have been found.
Is this your story?or has it reached the end where you will then be heard bleating for the shoulders of your saviour?
He leads you to the grasses growing by the stream of life...the place of fellowship!
Then the bear comes charging for your soul
Confusion sets in..then the Shepherd stands as your defender but it looks like He is missing targets
Terrified you run to where you think is safe
Only to be trapped in the twigs of despair and depression
Shadowed by the tree of fear and uncertainty
Are you bleating for Him?for He calls out to you today
So you find eternal rest and certainty and security on the shoulders of the Good Shepherd.

The Danseuse

A court of true and thorough splendor
Arrayed in purple and gold decorations
Indeed prepped for a celebration
A fete of life!
There's only one programme in this event
A dance
The ballerina comes out
Looking excellent; the cheering audience confirms this
Music is to be produced by a master melodist
No name befits His class and grandeur
So He is simply called "The Composer"
He sits behind the grand organ
And begins His tune
The whole world is captivated by His love notes
Even as the dancer swings into action
Every twist and turn is dictated by the fingers of The Composer
The Tune is her director
The Composer watches with admiration as she dances

This is the wisdom therein
The Composer is the one that watches her with love
The Composer is the Fingers that plays the notes of love
The Composer is the Tune that directs her dancing
We are like dancers; we christians
We dance to the rhythm of grace
The Composer is He that has called us
He is one but three
He sits and watches with love
The One that planned it all
He plays the keys
The One that actualized it
He is the Tune
The One that works the dance in us
So, grab the flat shoes and dance to His delight!

Love Questions?

What is love?
Is it a thing or a personality?
Is it a feeling or toughness?
Is it aiding a friend or hugging your enemy?
Is it based on situations?
Can you love some and dislike others?
Is it when lovers share a kiss or when families have memories?
Is love blind?
And if blind, what's the cause of the defect?

Can you show love when you have not even accepted a gift of love?
Can you really love even when you have not appreciated a love sacrifice?
Can you love when you have refused to look at a man made poor so you can be rich?
By his stripes you were healed, yet you despise?
Do you think you have an idea of what love is when you don't know the personality called love?
Can you show love when you have not accepted what God sacrificed for love?

End of the matter,
You cannot love when you have not accepted the greatest lover of all time through His love sacrifice..Christ!
