The Stain only Jordan can cleanse

General Naaman sitting on the balcony of his majestic house.
Mind wandering far on issues close by
A faithful servant of Syria
Commander of the royal army
Never any loss
Except one
Looking at his skin
His present state
White coloration
Irritating to look upon
Leprosy
So even a general
With the fame and money
Can have a stain
The last physician used egg yokes and clay on his body for days
Still no positives
His wife had told him about this prophet in Isreal
Whispers of grace from a servant lips

With gold and silver in his chariot,
he arrives in Isreal
With letters from the Syrian King,
he knocks on the gate of the Israeli king
Wrong gate
False perception
Can money buy salvation?
Can earthly kings administer healing?

"Go dip yourself in the Jordan river seven times and your skin will be like that of a new baby" the messenger from Elisha tells Him.
Naaman goes mad in rage
You sent for me
I came
I waited for hours
That not enough
You don't come out but send a servant
Then now Jordan river?
Are not Abana and Pharpar rivers at home better?
Can't i get saved on my own terms?
Enough humiliation for a day
Naaman rants
In annoyance he sets out for the Palace
A member of his entourage comes close
"Master if he had told you to fast and kill animals and do other great things, thou would have done but he says wash and be clean"
Seeing wisdom in his servant words
He changes course to the Jordan river
Looking at his skin one more time at the bank of the river
The imperfect skin
The stain
The reproach that influence could not clear
The stench wealth can't erase
In the presence of onlookers at the river bank
Almost naked except his draws
The general swallows pride and gets submerged in the flow of "the descender"

The leprosy of Sin
Ugly to look upon
In all the earthly glory
In all the victories in ambition and riches
Still no victory over this leprosy
This piece echoes the words of the messenger of Elisha
But won't you be offended?
The Jordan river
Christ's blood flow
Accepting that life
Would need humility and sincerity
But you see it as costly
So you prefer covering up the leprosy
Wearing overalls even in hot seasons
Covering up your leprosy with good deeds
Only the blood of Christ can cleanse
So go down to your draws
Naked before The LORD
Drop all the riches and fame
Accept in humility
Damn the shame
Damn the rejection from men
For your healing is personal
Dip seven times
The seal of perfection,
Love and the spirit of God
Then your skin be like a new babe
Remember only the likes of babes will see the Kingdom of God.
